Kelsea Ballerini's Set on the "Remember This" Tour

Kelsea Ballerini was announced as a special guest on the Jonas Brother’s Remember This tour back in May. Since then the Jonas Brothers have covered 44 tour date spanning across the states. Ballerini joined them on 40 of those dates.

We caught Kelsea and the Jonas Brothers on the last date of the tour in Hollywood, CA at the iconic venue - The Hollywood Bowl.

Ballerini strutted on the stage wearing a sparkly top with equally sparkly pants. Ballerini brought a sense of sass and southern empowerment opening her set with her 2018 hit, “I Miss Me More” as a montage of pictures played behind her on stage.

Above you can watch a clip of the opening number which was a great song to open the setlist with for a high energy crowd. Ballerini won the crowd over this sassy song before playing a mashup of her number ones “Love Me Like You Mean It / Dibs / Yeah Boy”.

Ballerini sang her soulful back home balled, “Half of my Hometown” which is originally sung as a duet between Kelsea and country artist, Kenny Chesney.

“The Other Girl” was the next song performed off Ballerini’s third studio album titled, “Kelsea” and is a song also featured on her fourth studio album, “Ballerini”. Both versions feature vocals by alternative/indie artist, Halsey.

Kelsea is not only a generous artist but a generous and kind person. Before going onto her next song Ballerini took the time to thank her band and crew for joining her on the Jonas Brother tour for 2.5 months leaving their families and lives behind as she quotes on instagram, “thankful for my band and crew who spent two and a half months away from their families to allow me to put on a show every night.” I mean, how sweet?!

Ballerini’s band consist of: Chris Wrate, Sam Bedingfield, Phil Lawson and Reid Johnson. All of whom are extremely talented and make the show come alive.

Kelsea Ballerini then performed, “I Quit Drinking” which is a 2021 single, originally a duet with LANY’S front man, Paul Klein.

Before doing another mashup, the stage went dark and a home video of Ballerini was shown on the three large screens behind the stage. A young Ballerini sat in front of the camera explaining her love of the Jonas Brothers. Yes, the same brothers she was opening up for. You can view that video HERE.

A second mashup followed but this time full of songs that Ballerini loved. “Teardrops on my Guitar / Breakaway / Lucky” and her own song, “homecoming queen?” After doing Kelly Clarkson’s song, “Breakaway” Kelsea apologized for messing the song up, she was nervous because Clarkson herself was in the audience. The crowd screamed with excitement. Kelsea was quick to say, “But she’s watching the show peacefully so don’t go try and find her,” Ballerini laughed.

Ballerini finished her portion of the show with her songs:

  • Peter Pan

  • the way i used to

  • Hole in the Bottle

  • This Feeling (The Chainsmokers cover)

I think everyone in attendance felt like they were instantly transported to a Kelsea Ballerini headlining show. The energy, the setlist and the crowd singing was all perfection.

About the Venue: Hollywood Bowl is an ICONIC venue! I love this venue because mostly everything about it is perfect. It’s historical, it’s huge, it’s amazing and it’s in L.A. There is a lot of walking involved so just a warning but everything else is great.

Seats: We enjoyed the show from SEC N3, Row 17 seats 15 & 17. Pretty great seats for the price and you could see the acts and screens. I’ve rate these 10/10!

Sound: FANTASTIC! During the first act (Jordan McGraw) It was a little muffled and hard to hear. I’m not sure if it was a sound problem or the artist covering the mic but for Kelsea Ballerini and the Jonas Brothers there were no complaints.

Cleanliness: Bathrooms were really clean and there were some sanitization areas that I saw. After the concert it was fairly clean as well.

Parking: Parking is $28, at least for our show. Parking is the only thing I don’t like about this venue because it’s a stack and park which means it took awhile to get out of the parking lot. There is some traffic just to get to the parking lots as well. Shuttles buses are also at this venue so if that suits you check out the site HERE.

Rating: Venue is 9/10, Kelsea’s set 10/10 and the concert in its entirety 10/10. I cannot recommend this venue enough. I also cannot recommend a Kelsea Ballerini show enough. If you ever have the chance BUY THE TICKETS, you will not be disappointed. I’ve seen Kelsea three times and she’s always been such a great entertainer and performer.
