Echosmith, "Hang Around" Tour

Known as the multi-platinum selling alternative/pop band, Echsomith announced a long awaited tour by fans and music lovers alike. The sibling band consisting of Sydney (vocals) Noah (bass/vocals) and Graham (drummer) hit the road for six weeks playing from coast to coast.

I grabbed tickets to see the band at their Los Angeles, CA show which took place at the beautiful El Rey Theater. The band brought along vintage rock/pop band Band of Silver and indie/pop band lostboycrow.

From the moment the show started it was high energy and I think that’s really what Echosmith shows are all about including the intimacy the band has with their fans.

The Band of Silver had an six song setlist that kept the crowd energized and continually on their feet, clapping and cheering.

Setlist:

  • Hello Sunshine

  • Chasing a Stranger

  • Living Ghost

  • Artificial Intelligence

  • Maybe Next Time

  • Machine

  • Something Stronger

  • Here For a Good Time

LostBoyCrow came on next. They kept the crowd captivated the entire time, seeming to never run out of energy and really had such incredible stage presence. I would definitely go to a lostboycrow headlining show. For a few minuets I honestly forgot that we weren’t at a lostboycrow show. I highly recommend seeing this band live!

Setlist:

  • Angelina

  • Candy Wine

  • Chewed Up

  • Libra Moon

  • Some Nights

  • Santa Fe

  • Indie Rock

  • November Sleep

  • Waste of Time

  • Strawberry Sunscreen

Echosmith came on immediately with a lengthy drum solo into Gelato which is their most recent release. The talent the sibling trio presents from the very beginning of the show to the last second of the show is incredible and inspiring.

  • Bright

  • Come With Me (fortune cookie song)

  • Let’s Love/ComeTogether/Get Into My Car/Favorite Sound/God Only Knows/Surround You

  • Goodbye

  • Lost Somebody

  • Take My Breath Away (Berlin cover)

  • Hang Around

  • Cool Kids (Our Version)

The whole show was perfectly put together and to witness a band as genuine as them made this one of my favorite shows. They make it a point to really dance around the whole stage and connect with as many fan as possible. After leaving I felt like I had just left a party with really good friends and I think that is the whole point of live shows is to really have the connection with your audience and making sure everyone escapes from their world for a little while to just be apart of music.

Venue: The El Rey is beautiful! It’s a tiny but intimate venue that allows fans to really feel like they are apart of the show. The building was super clean and I had no complaints whatsoever.

Seats: The show was standing room only and we were able to be right up against the barricade which always makes for such an amazing show and great pictures. Since the venue is on the smaller scale you really won’t have a bad angle of the show.

Parking: Thankfully we were dropped off. The El Rey is located in the middle of Los Angeles so there isn’t a lot of parking. Parking is available on the street but if you’re able to be dropped up/picked up it’s a way better bet,
