Lady A, "You Look Good" Tour

“Heartbreak” is my all time favorite album by this legendary country group. When they announced they were going on tour in 2017 I was thrilled and the fact that they were bringing Kelsea Ballerini and Brett Young along was just a huge bonus!

The band was playing at the Hollywood Bowl for the first time ever in their career. It was a really special concert for them and of course the fans too!

Brett Young opened up the show with only a three song setlist. I was pretty bummed, he is such a talented guy and seemed really down to earth.

Brett Young’s Setlist:

  • You Ain’t Here to Kiss Me

  • In Case You Didn’t Know

  • Sleep Without You

Seeing Kelsea go from a small outdoor venue in Irvine, CA to such a legendary venue in Los Angeles was incredible. She definitely makes the crowd her own and I know everyone left a fan of her’s that night if they weren’t already.

Kelsea Ballerini’s Setlist:

  • Love Me Like You Mean It

  • Unapologetically

  • Legends

  • Roses

  • Dibs

  • Peter Pan

  • Stilettos

  • XO

  • I Hate Love Songs

  • Yeah Boy

  • Closer (Chainsmokers feat. Halsey cover)B

Before Kelsea sang, ‘Closer’ she spoke to the crowd -

When I go to concerts my favorite part is when the artist grabs a guitar and makes a whole arena with thousands of people feel like a living room with some close friends. Can we make that happen tonight?

Kelsea did just that. You know when an artist is special when they make a venue filled with thousands feel like a dive bar concert.

There is no crowd like a Lady a crowd. The screams and cheering when the band stepped on stage sent goosebumps up my arms and the reality of seeing one of my favorite bands was magical.

Lady A’s Setlist:

  • Downtown

  • Our Kind of Love

  • This City

  • Dancin’ Away With my Heart

  • Heartbreak

  • Compass

  • We Own the Night

  • American Honey

  • I Run to You

  • Good Time to be Alive

  • Thy Will

Hillary sang, ‘Thy Will’ from her solo Christian album, Love Remains. It’s always been one of my favorite songs since it’s release. Hearing it live made me that much more of a fan of this song. Close by Hollywood Bowl there is a cross that lights up at night and when Hillary sang the song the cross lit up. It was beautiful and something I’ll never forget.

  • Hello World

  • You’re Still The One (Shania Twain cover)

  • Just a Kiss

  • You Look Good

  • Lookin’ for a Good Time

  • Something Like That (Tim McGraw cover) Charles Kelly, Dave Haywood and Brett Young sang it together.

  • Crazy in Love (Beyonce cover) Hillary and Kelsea sang this one together with all the sass!

  • Love Don’t Live Here

  • Bartender

  • Need You Now

The setlist was so long and so amazing but I was sad that a lot of my favorite songs from the Heartbreak album were left off the setlist. I was really looking forward to hearing Somebody Else’s Heart, Hurt and Army.

Lady A put on such an amazing show. The raw talent these three have is indescribable and hearing their harmonies live was a dream come true. I will never miss a California Lady A show.

Venue: The Hollywood Bowl is iconic. This venue has seen it all and is in the heart of Los Angeles. This will forever be one of my favorite venues to go to. You can really feel all the magic that’s been made here!

Seats: We sat in section W1, Row 3 and seat 37. For the price we paid I couldn’t really complain about the seats but if you don’t mind splurging on some concert tickets I would definitely recommend getting closer seats.

Parking: It would be a dream if this venue had it all but unfortunately parking is awful. Hollywood Bowl has limited on site parking (I’ve been very lucky and have gotten to park their twice) but it’s stacked parking so it takes awhile to get out and with L.A. Traffic you might as well make yourself comfortable. Hollywood Bowl does have shuttles to bring you to the venue.
